Hope everyone is having a good week...



Not much is going on in our neck of the woods. The girls have a couple of friends over right now and they are all in the backyard playing on the Trampoline. Logan is getting feed by his feeding pump watching Sesame Street. I just home from running a few errands so I thought I would take a minute to post. Everyone is doing great the girls still have a few sniffles. They have been jumping on that Trampoline every chance they get. They really enjoy it and I am so glad, It is great exercise for them and it keeps them busy :)



Richard is in Reno, NV right now and he should be home tomorrow. He found out last night that he has to work Thursday night it is mandatory so there is no getting out of it. But he will have Friday-Sunday off which is good. But I am sad this will be the first new years that we will not be spending together :(



So I will be staying home with the kids, I invited my parents over for a couple of hours so they will be coming over I thought I would make some Sandwiches and come Queso dip and make this awesome Banana Sour Cream Cake it is soooo good, I have made it before and it was a hit.

I went to Michaels today I am trying to organize my scrapbook stuff so I bought a couple of supplies, my cousin from California will be coming down to stay with me for a few days and we are going to be doing alot of scrap booking so I have to get everything in order. Right now Logan's toys are all over the place...

Sorry I have not had a chance to update, I thought I would take some time out to let my family know what has been going on this past week. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and got everything on there list :)

Let's see if I can remember everything that went on this past week. I took Alicia to see the Pediatrician to get her tested to see if she has A.D.D. the signs are there so he asked me alot of question's and I answered yes to all of them so he gave me some paperwork to take home and fill out and also give to the Teacher for when she goes back to school. Then in a few weeks I will go back and the Doctor will evaluate her.

Elizabeth is going to be tested by the school District for Auditory Processing Disorder, we are in the process now of doing the paperwork and hope the testing will begin soon.

Logan is doing great still using his Stander a few times a day.

The girls came down with a cold again last week just congestion, stuffy nose no fever though. Wednesday I was in Bed all day I was not feeling good at all I was nauseous and dizzy, I started to feel better Thursday. I don't know what came over me.

My Mom came over Thursday afternoon and she did prep work for Christmas Dinner. Then Thursday night the entire family went out to dinner to Chili's, this is one of my favorite places to eat and I have not been there in such a long time so it was really nice to go out and be with the family.

Christmas morning we opened presents around 8:30am I wanted to wait for Logan to finish eating so he could participate in opening the presents he did not know how so his sisters opened his gifts for him and he was so excited, every present the girls opened up for him his face just lit up with excitement it was the cutest thing ever. The girls got everything on there list (they did not ask for much this year). They got a Trampoline from Santa so there Dad and Uncle Brian help put it together. Logan is into Elmo now so he got Elmo dolls, DVDs and some other Toys and more Pants... Alicia got Barbie Airplane, Elizabeth got a Barbie Camper and they received some other items and Nana and Papa spoiled them rotten.

After opening presents everyone started to show up, My parents, Brother, Cousin and her husband. My Mom made an awesome Turkey dinner with all the fixins. We had a really nice time together.

This morning I got everyone up and we went to Target and Walmart for there after Christmas sales which I never miss. I got some really good deals at Target for next year :) Walmart really did not have much.

After that Richard wanted to go to Best Buy he received some money for Christmas and has been saving up some money so he went and bought himself an XBox 360 Elite along with a few games, So he is now playing his new games and showing the girls how to play. He loves his new Toy. Richard and I did not get each other anything this Christmas it was all about the kids. Besides if I want something I will just go out and buy it :) Which I did, a few weeks ago I bought a new Jacket a couple of shirts and a pair of jeans and then today I found 2 more shirts I wanted:)

We had a really nice weekend, Saturday we decided to take a Drive to Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City while there we got to ride the train, This was a first for all of us we have never been on a train before, it was not busy at all and the weather was around 60 degrees and sunny. We were hoping to get a shot of Santa but he was not there. The kids had a great time riding the Train. The Train ride was about 40 minuets long we sat in the open so we could see everything better. It was all very nice.

Sunday was my shopping day I went to a couple of different grocery stores to get what I needed to make Christmas Dinner my family will be coming over to my House for Christmas so this will be my first time cooking a Turkey Dinner with all the fixins, this should be pretty interesting I hope I do not burn the house down :)

My Mom will be coming over Thursday to help me start cooking. So everything should go smoothly.

The kids are doing great, getting on my nerves a Little bit. But I just have to remember to breath. They will be out of school for the next two weeks they go back January 4th. I still have not wrapped any presents so I better go and do that.

Well it's been awhile since my last post not much has been going on around here which is a good thing. Lets see

Saturday, I got my hair cut which was much needed.

Sunday, lounged around all day and watched Football

Monday, I cannot remember what happened oh wait Logan threw up right before he went to bed so he kept me up all night crying every couple of hours.

Tuesday, Logan had Therapy he had Speech and O.T. back to back and he did really good, Tuesday night he threw up right before going to bed again so he was up every couple of hours crying so did not get much sleep again.

Wednesday, There was no school because of Parent teacher Conference. The Girls got good reviews. The Teacher and myself think Alicia might have A.D.D. she is showing the signs so I made an appointment with the Pediatrician next week so she can be tested. The girls received some Money from there Grandparents in Arkansas for Christmas so we went to Walmart and they picked out what they wanted, Thanks again Mom and Dad for the Gift Cards the girls love what they picked out above is a picture of what they got.

Oh and Logan threw up again right before going to bed so he was up all hours of the night, So I did not get much sleep again..

Thursday, Kathy my friend and also a Heart Mom came over to my house today and we had a play date, even though Isaac (her son) and Logan did not Interact with each other we had a really nice visit she brought over goodies for the kids and we got to go to Lunch. It was really nice to see her. Thanks again Kathy for everything I had a really nice time.

Elizabeth came home from school today and told me there is this boy in her class that she thinks is cute. She goes and says Mommy there is this boy named Dean in my class I keep on staring at him I think he is really cute should I tell him, I said no way don't you dare.

She then tells me later on that Dean borrowed a Marker from her and they kept starring at each other for 5 seconds. Ha Ha Ha Ha, I cannot believe she came home and told me this.

So that is how our week has been tomorrow (Friday) Logan has P.T. in the morning then Michelle his D.S. will be coming over.

Logan had such a great day today. This morning he had his Cardiologist Appt and everything looks great his saturation's are in the mid 80's which is good for Logan. Dr Acherman decided to wait until March to do his Heart Cath (Fenestration Closure) Because everything looks so great. He did take him off of the Coumadin, the chances of having a Blood Clot are less, since it has been a few months since his Surgery. When he goes in to do the Fenestration Closure he will put him back on the Coumadin. So for now he will be on one tab of 81mg Aspirin once a day.

We came home and Logan had Therapy his two favorite people came over Michelle his D.S. and Nora his P.T. Nora brought over a different kind of stander much better than the last one and Logan just loved it, he was in it for about half hour and an hour later he wanted to go back in it :)

So Nora let us borrow it until we get ours in a few weeks.

Tonight for Dinner I ordered out we had Pizza Hut and you will not believe me when I tell you this but Logan ate 1 1/2 slices of pizza and they were not small slices, Richard and I could not believe our eyes after the first slice he said MORE. Since he had so much to eat by mouth we were not sure how much to feed him by G-Tube so we just gave him 3 1/2 oz. We wanted to make sure he kept everything in and he did. I just put him to bed and he went out like a light.

All in all he had a really good day today, we are just so excited at how well he ate today by mouth :)

Oh also I finally got Logan's hair cut the other day he looks just like a little man....

Logan had his two week check up with the pediatrician just to make sure his ear infection is gone, everything looks good there is still a little fluid in his left ear and he still has a cough but the Doctor says it is nothing to worry about. The cough should go away in about a week or so, I hope because he has had it for 3 weeks now. His lungs are clear so that is a good sign.

We headed on over to my Mom's house to spend the day over there and Logan just had a great time with his Nana, he fell asleep on her for about an hour and she was loving every moment of that. Why can't that boy fall asleep on me like that.

Over the past couple of weeks Logan has really started to enjoy food, he is eating more of what I give him. He will really eat anything you give him but in small amounts not enough to really count as calories to wear we can start giving him less by G-Tube but I think we are heading in the right direction though. The other night I made Beef Stew so I cut up some carrots and he went to town, he really loved them. He also loves peas, he also likes to snack on Gold fish, teddy grahams, cookies. He really likes chicken. The other day he ate a half cup of peas which I thought was huge for him. He is getting to the point were he really likes food. So every chance I get I am feeding him by mouth, his chewing is not 100 % but we are working on that. As long as you give him very small bites he will eat anything I even tried Tomatoes and he ate that. I am just so proud of him he is slowly making strides in eating by mouth.

Tomorrow we see the Cardiologist for an Echo, EKG and Coumadin Levels checked. I am thinking this is when he will schedule his Heart Cath. He will need to go back to the Hospital next month to have the Fenestration Closure.

The girls are doing good they have one more week of school left before there two week Christmas break. Next Wednesday is Parent Teacher Conference so there will be no school.

The girls are needing extra help in Math so I enrolled them in Computer Lab it is after school from 3:30-4:30 and today was there first day. They said they loved it and really enjoyed it and look forward to going back tomorrow after school. I was like who are you and were are my kids :)

What a day, we got to the Hospital at 11am and everything went smoothly like it always does. As soon as we got into a room Logan starts to cry a little so My Mom was entertaining him and making him laugh I got some really cute pictures of him, He was such a good boy saying Hi to all of the Nurses and smiling he even got to ride in a tykes car and he loved it, going back and forth. Finally around 1:30 they put a mask over his face for sedation then they put in an IV he was back there for an hour he did very good. When it was time for me to see him was a different story, oh he was mad at me kicking and screaming and thrashing around. We were able to leave at 3:15 and of course he fell asleep on the way home.

I will be calling the Doctor in the morning to set up a time to find out the results which should be in a few weeks.

I was just so surprised at Logan and how he acted today being all nice to the Nurses and everything he was such a big boy. Sitting in his crib and trying to stand up, he would kneel on his knees and try so hard to stand up I was just in ahhhh. All of the pictures were taken before the MRI.

What a nice and relaxing weekend we are having, Saturday our Neighbors son had a Birthday Party at the Skating Rink and the girls had such a great time. At first Elizabeth did not want to go because neither of them know how to skate but when we got there they had a blast I just told them to hug the wall and you will do just fine and they did, it took about a half hour before Alicia would let go and she did good falling alot but no broken bones. Elizabeth hugged the wall the entire time because she was still unsure but they both did so good. Richard was a very brave soul and also put on a pair of roller skates and got out there, he never fell but did not go very fast. There was no way you were getting me out there. I just snapped lots of pictures. The girls are wanting to go back again and we told them in a few weeks. They are also wanting to have there Birthday Party there next year in June :) My mom came over to watch Logan so we could all go. Thanks MOM :)

Today the girls have been playing at there friends house and they are finally home, Richard has been watching Football all day. We rented some movies and in a little bit we are going to watch Imagine That with Eddie Murphy it looks really cute.

I have been cancelling Logan's Therapy for the past 3 weeks because of his cold. He just cannot get rid of his cough, he goes in for a check up at the end of the week to make sure his ear infection is gone.

Tuesday Logan will be going to the Hospital for an MRI of the Brain, The Neurologist wants to make sure everything is OK. We check in at 11am and they start at 1pm. They no longer do Oral Sedation so he will have to have an IV that is why we are having to go in so early. I will post Tuesday night on how his MRI went.

OK So I was about to post and I went to check on the girls and they both fell asleep, Alicia sitting up while she was watching football and Elizabeth fell asleep on the floor next to Logan. I could not resist to take the picture and post them :) They will hate me later.

I keep on forgetting to mention every time I post that Logan is wanting to pull up from a sitting position, he will grab on to the couch and pull up on his knees and try to stand of course he cannot but he is trying so hard he will get on his knees and try try try...

The other day I stood him up against the wall and he held on the wall for a few seconds I tried to get him to do it again so I could take a picture but he would not, So I will keep trying. We should be getting a stander pretty soon.

Also since Logan has not been feeling well he is on Antibiotics and he is having Diarrhea 2-3 times a day and I am having to change his pants 2-3 times a day, I cannot wait until this goes away I am doing Laundry all day long...

I took Elizabeth to the Doctors this morning she had a follow up with her E.N.T and she also had a hearing test done she has them every year. Lately she has been having a hard time hearing but everything tested out fine. He said he wants her tested for A.P.D. Auditory Processing Disorder, He thinks she might have it. I Googled it and it fits her to a tee. So I called the school, I go in tomorrow to meet with the Nurse to get everything started.

Logan is taking a nap and Elizabeth is doing her homework (14 pages), I kept her home from school today because it was not worth it to take her back because of the way the appointment fell. I better get off this Computer and get some Laundry done before I have to leave to pick up Alicia from school. Thanks for checking in on our family.

We all had a really nice Thanksgiving we spent it over at my Mom's house with my Aunt, Uncle, Cousin and her Husband. I brought my camera but forgot to take pictures :(

Friday we spent all day Pulling up the plants in the front yard everything was over grown and looked gross. Then we replanted, we still have to order some rocks and put that in the front yard and everything will look really nice and of course I forgot to do a before and after photo.

Saturday was a fun day Richard put up lights on the outside of the house while I decorated the inside. Sunday we just sat around the house and enjoyed each others company and rested for the new week.

Logan is still sick his ears are still draining from his ear infection and he still has a croupy cough. I have been cancelling all of his Therapy and I hope he gets to feeling better soon I just hate it when they are sick. And his Eczema is getting really bad on his hand and Thumb from sucking I am having to lather a couple of times a day.

The girls are doing really good still a little congestion but they are great and so ready for Christmas to come. Can you believe I am almost done with my Christmas shopping I have two more things to get. Because of Richard's pay cut there will not be much this year but that is OK because we have each other :)
