Prayers

Just a quick post, I wanted to post pictures of the Heart Walk.

Thank you everyone again for the prayers. We will be leaving here at 5:00am. The procedure starts at 7am and should take about 3-4 hours the Doctor said. I will post Monday night how everything went. If there are no complications Logan should come home Monday night. Again they will be doing a Fenestration Closure. We are getting ready to leave and drop the girls off at my Mom's house were they will be spending the night.

This week has just flown by we have been so busy. Thursday morning I had to go to the Hospital to pre-register Logan for his Heart Cath on Monday they will be doing a Fenestration Closure so please say lots of prayers for our little man. Then we rushed home and my BFF Kathy came over with her son Isaac who is also a Heart Baby we had combined therapy sessions with NEIS who came over my house. We all had a nice visit.

Friday morning I had to go to the Fashion Show Mall to pick up our T-Shirts for the Heart walk today. We were up at 6am and out the door at 7am we walked the entire 3 floors of the mall to raise awareness for Congenital Heart Disease. We were one of the ones that finished first, we had a great time and then had lunch at the Mall. I was able to get a back massage while we were there my back has really been hurting me alot lately, with all the stress and caring Logan around is taking it's toll on my back. I will post pictures of the walk next week.

Sunday night we will be dropping the girls off at my Mom's house we have to be at the Hospital at 5:30am on Monday. I am getting pretty nervous about the procedure, I will be glad when Monday is over with.

Logan had Speech and Occupational Therapy yesterday and it went very well. Speech was the same she brings out toys for him to play with and try's to get him to say what they are, he will sometimes but not the whole word just part of it.

In O.T. he was put on the big green ball on his tummy and try's to reach for the balls that are stuck on the mirror this helps him put pressure on his left hand and gets him to reach while being on his tummy which he hates. I was so proud of him he did not even cry he actually was smiling. I am pretty sure it was because he was looking at himself in the mirror :)

He also played with some puzzles and with help he was able to put them together. The last thing the Therapist wanted him to do was to see Logan feed himself. She put him on the big boy chair, and gave him some vanilla pudding he did pretty good, he only took about 6 bites and he did not want anymore. She was surprised at how well Logan fed himself. He will just dip the spoon in and out of the pudding cup.

Yesterday, Today and next week the girls have had special testing done for Math and Reading at school all day, it is called the Nevada Criterion Referenced Test. (CRT) Grades 3-5 take these tests it is to see where children are performing in various subject areas. It assists the Educators to make important decisions about what and how to teach our Children.

Because of this testing there has been no homework this week which is great I think.

Richard came home on Sunday and we spent the day together just running around town doing little things. It was really nice to spend some time with him.

My parents came over Sunday afternoon to see the kids. Logan adores his Papa his face lit up when they came over and Logan says "Hi Papa". Logan is finally saying two word sentences sure it is only Hi Papa or Hi Nana, Hi Mama. It is such a huge step for him. He is such a big boy. Logan's new thing is that he wants to sit in the big rocking chair, so I will put him in it and he will throw him self forward then backward to get the chair rocking. He loves sitting in it to make it rock. It is so cute to see.

I took the kids to school this morning then was able to do a few errands came home fed Logan put him down for a nap and I also took a little nap I feel great. It is always nice to sneak in a nap every now and then. Tomorrow Logan has Speech and Occupational Therapy, I am hoping he has a good day.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Not much is going on around here. Richard is working this weekend. I went and did some errands this morning and the kids drove me crazy. I just laid Logan down for a nap and the kids are out back jumping on the trampoline so I thought I would hop on the computer for a quick post. I hope Logan will take a 3 hour nap since he was up at 5am this morning. As long as I stay busy I will not pass out on the couch from being sleep deprived :)
The rest of the day will be spent indoors doing Laundry, Dishes and vacuuming and some Scrap booking. It is supposed to rain this weekend but nothing yet so we will see.

What a busy week this has been. Monday was no school so I took the kids over to my Mom's house so I could go Grocery shopping and do some errands. Then we came home and the girls played with there friends.

Tuesday my Mom and I went shopping all day the girls needed new clothes really bad so I went and got them shirts. They are growing so fast they are now in size Medium 10/12 in Shirts. Were does the time go. It seems like just yesterday when I was in the Baby section buying them cutesy dresses.

Today Shirley and Michelle from N.E.I.S well be coming over to weigh and measure Logan, hopefully he has gained a few ounces. Then we head on over to the Gastrologist for a check up.

Tomorrow I will be staying home and doing things around the house. Then Friday is no School again it is Staff Development Day so I will be bringing the girls with me to Logan's Therapy he has P.T. out in the community. Other than that everyone is doing really good Richard plans on working this weekend and I will catch up on some of my Scrap booking.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Logan Loves to watch Sesame Street and is totally into it, once in a great while he will still watch Yo Gabba Gabba well the other day he was watching an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba and after it was over there was a commercial and the Fresh Beat Band (they are on Nickelodeon) came on and they sang a song called "FREEZE" and Logan absolutely loves this song and every time it comes on he will dance and smile and every time they freeze Logan will throw his hands in the air and leave them there until they start singing and Dancing again. It is just the most cutest thing I have ever seen. He gets so excited every time the song comes on so I had to DVR it. I still have not learned how to post a video on Blogger but when I do I will post it. There are pictures above.

We are having a great weekend. Richard took this weekend off to spend with the family. I know this is Valentines weekend and it should be spent with your loved one and I did want to go out with just Richard to Dinner and a movie but the girls have not spent any time with there Father and I felt so guilty they deserve time with him also. So we took the girls Bowling Saturday and they had a great time we all are so bad at it but we had a blast. I had Logan's Nurse come over and watch him so we could go out. And tonight we are all going out to Dinner as a family all five of us to Red Robin we love eating there it is very family friendly.

I will get my date night with Richard sometime in the future.

I am finally starting to feel like my self again, The kids are also doing great.
Monday someone from Child Find they represent the School District came and spoke with me and Richard. Logan will be starting preschool in August when he turns three. She gave us some information about the process and what will happen to Logan when he exists Nevada Early Intervention. I am a little nervous for Logan to go to school it will be 4 days a week and 2 1/2 hours a day. My Son has major separation Anxiety so we will see what happens.

Tuesday Logan had Speech and O.T. I love his new O.T. she will be working with him on eating with a spoon next week. In Speech the Therapist held out 2 different flash cards and asked Logan to pick the doggy one and he did, then held out two more flash cards and asked Logan to pick the train one and he did. Out of about seven matches he got three right I was so excited that is huge for him.

Last night My cousin and her Husband came into town from California again, they got free tickets to a show on the strip and a real good deal on the Hotel. I watched there son for them. His name is Shane and he is 2 years old. When I stood Logan up to give him a hug Logan was the giant. It was cute Logan followed him around everywhere scooting on his bottom.
They will be coming over again this afternoon to visit some more and go out to Dinner.

This morning Michelle and Robert from Nevada Intervention will be coming over to work with Logan, My Friend and Heart Mom Kathy was supposed to come over with her son Isaac and we were going to have both kids do Therapy together but Isaac was up all night sick so it will just be Logan today having Therapy. I hope you get to feeling better real son Isaac.

Fenestration Closure After a Fontan Operation in the Heart Catheterization Lab

I took Logan to Physical Therapy yesterday morning, He was feeling a little better but I was feeling like crap. He did OK did not want to do much standing since he has been sick the last couple of weeks. I do not work with him when he is sick. Poor guy he already sats at around 85 then when he gets sick his sats drop a little and just has a really hard time.

After that we picked up my Mom she came with me to his Cardiologist Appointment. Logan's Heart just looks great he still has that leaky valve but he is doing awesome. He is still scheduled for his Heart Cath on March 1st they will go in and close up the Fenestration.

Richard is on his way to Phoenix he will be home tomorrow in time to watch the Super Bowl. My Cowboys almost made it, But I will only watch it for the commercials they are so funny. It started raining yesterday afternoon and will continue all weekend long so the kids and I will be staying indoors they are watching the Jonas Brothers right now which they are all into :)
Logan is taking a nap and I have tons of Laundry to do as always. Tonight is Pizza night Yeah no cooking for me :)

I just laid Logan down for a nap so I thought I would make a quick post and then go lay down myself. Logan woke me up at 6am crying and I woke up with a sore throat and a raspy voice. I was starting to feel better. I just need to get some good sleep.

Yesterday Logan had an Appointment with the Orthopedic we go back again before he starts School in August. He checked his legs and everything looks great, Dr Stewart said he is not sure if Logan will ever walk without some assistance I guess only time will tell. When we go back in June he will either order a wheel Chair for him or a Special Stroller that he can sit in for when he is at School.
Last night they came and Delivered his Stander and Bath chair. I have a call into the Orthopedic for a Prescription for a feeding chair the one he has now is a Toddler seat and he has already outgrown that one. So I am very excited Logan is getting the Equipment he needs:)

Elizabeth's Asthma has been bothering her, I had to go to her School yesterday and drop off her Rescue Inhaler she just would not stop coughing, so taking it every four hours has really been helping her and staying indoors when it is windy helps.

Tomorrow Logan will be going back to Physical Therapy he has missed two weeks because of being sick, he is doing alot better just a little runny nose. After that we have a Cardiologist Appointment for an Echo and EKG. I could not get Elizabeth in at the same time. I am still waiting on a call back as to when she will be seen.

Richard will be working again this weekend. We are saving up Money this Summer we are going to visit his Dad and Step Mom in Arkansas we are really excited about seeing them. I can't wait to see you Mom and Dad we really miss you guys :) This will be there first time seeing Logan.

I better get going I hope Logan will let me take a short nap, I here him talking through the Baby Monitor.

The Sickies have been going on around here in our household. Alicia caught it first she said her Teacher coughed on her and them a few days later she got sick who then passed it on to Logan who then passed it on to me. I started feeling Yucky Sunday morning cough, sneezing, running nose and congestion. So Sunday I layed around all day and Richard my loving Husband took care of everything and Monday I slept on the couch off and on in between taking care of Logan and Richard cooked Dinner again last night. I am so thankful to have such a loving and caring Husband, I love you Baby.

I am starting to feel better today and so is everyone else we still have the sniffles but chugging right along. The kids are not that bad to where they had to miss any school. Thank goodness for that. Here are a couple of pictures I took this morning before taking the kids to school notice Logan is still in his PJ's :) He is such a Ham....

I almost forgot to mention Elizabeth lost another tooth, she was outside playing Sunday and it fell out everyone looked for it on the Concrete outside but no luck. But the Tooth Fairy still came for a visit :)
