Sunday we actually made it to church and things went as well as they could have gone. We only had a few problems with Logan.

Monday morning Logan had Therapy his D.S. came out to our house and for the first time all by himself with no help Logan can roll from his tummy to his back, now all we have to do is get him rolling. But he will not roll from his back to his tummy. He hates being on his stomach.

Tuesday I helped chaperon a Field trip with the girls school. We walked to the Bird Preserve. I was really disappointed did not get to see much because it was really windy, So nothing to exciting.
Today (Wednesday) Logan had his favorite P.T Nora come over, Logan got to show off all his new moves he has learned since her last visit in March. Our new goal is to get Logan to get on all fours so he can start to crawl (we have a long road before he starts crawling) Nora put him on all fours and he stayed for 10 seconds with no support. Our other goal is to get him to stand so he can put pressure on his feet, With help he will only stand for 15 seconds.
After Therapy Kathy and I went out to Lunch to Cafe Rio we were there for 10 minuets before Logan was crying. So we headed back to Kathy's house for a very short visit before I had to go. Logan has this sore on his bottom, it is the same sore that Richard gets when he is stressed out, in fact Richard had this same sore 2 months ago. Anyway I took him to the Doctor and they cut it open and squeezed all of the blood and puss out, They did not even numb the area. He screamed and I cried right along with him. It was so hard for me to watch that and hold him down. They tested him for M.R.S.A. because he has had that twice already from his past Surgery's. I find out the results in 2 days in the meantime they put him on Antibiotics (Bactrim). I got home at 3:30 put him to bed and he slept for 3 hours. He woke up from his nap in a better mood.
Thanks for all your prayers and concerns.

Today has been a very stressful and Emotional day for me. It all started at 5:30am Logan woke up crying and Hungry because he threw up his feed the night before. Today we went to the Cardiologist for his Sedation Echo so he was unable to eat anything. Logan's Leaky Heart Valve is doing great it is a mild leak which is normal for him. I found out today He will have to have his next Heart Surgery in August. They are scheduling his next Echo in July and his Heart Cath the first week of August and then the Surgery. He will have to have a Fontan Shunt put in. If you are not familiar with this procedure this is what they will be doing.

The Fontan Procedure
This type of surgery is used for children with complex congenital heart disease where the child cannot have surgery that gives them two pumping chambers and it usually undertaken at two to three years of age. It is designed to direct the blood coming back from the body directly to the lungs, without it being pumped there by the heart. Many patients will previously have had a bidirectional Glenn shunt. Which Logan has already had.
The Fontan is an open heart procedure during which the unoxygenated blood returning from the lower part of the body is diverted directly to the pulmonary (lung) artery without passing through the right ventricle. This may be achieved in several different ways all of which connect the inferior vena cava directly to the lung artery, allowing the de-oxygenated blood flow to the lungs while the ventricle pumps the oxygenated blood to the body. The procedure relies on blood flowing to the lungs without the benefit of a pump so it is not suitable for patients with pulmonary hypertension (high lung artery pressure).

So I have been Crying alot today I am not looking forward to this. After we left the Doctors office Logan was so mad and tired he screamed all the way home and I cried because of the news I rcvd. And when we got home he threw the biggest tantrum I have ever seen. I mean he was screaming and thrashing his body around hitting his head it was bad. So I started to cry because of the way he was acting. I just lost it, So I put him to bed he finally fell asleep two hours later he wakes up crying again and more tantrums. Thanks goodness Richard woke up and was there to help me so I could step outside and take a breather. He has been cranky all day today I feel so bad for him it was just a bad day today. I got a call from my good friend Kathy (Her son also has a Heart Defect) the call could not have come at a better time. We were on the phone for awhile and she was making me laugh. Kathy thanks again for the call and your friendship :)

The Doctor told me this is a routine procedure he will be in the Hospital for a week and this is the easiest one out of all the Heart Surgery's they have done on Logan. I am thinking you are going to cut my son's chest open and perform Open Heart Surgery it might be easy for you but not for me.

Thanks for checking in on us.

Today was a relaxing day, I was home all day and worked on my scrapbook, cut coupons and worked on my Grocery list and Price matched for my Grocery store trip on Friday and played with my precious little man.

Richard is out of town in California he should be home in the morning.
The kids are doing great. The girls are outback playing and Logan is on the floor scooting all over the place on his back. Logan is getting better those breathing treatments and Meds are working YEAH!!! He is still throwing up because of his congestion, as long as I give him pedialyte with his formula he does fine. And the nose is not running as bad.
I signed the girls up for some activities to keep them busy this summer. They are so excited. I signed them up for two different Swim Classes for June and July, Kids and Cooking Class and Dance Class. I am hoping with all these activities they do not have time to be bored, plus they will be learning something new at the same time which is a plus.

Here is a quick update....

Well Logan is sitting up all the time now. He loves to lay down then get back up into a sitting position we are always praising him when he does this and the look on his face is priceless, he gets so happy when we praise him it is so cute. Logan is doing a little better except for that faucet he has on his face. His nose will not stop running. I did take him to the Doctor yesterday he does not have RSV just a cold. He said to give him breathing treatments, Singular and Benadryl.
Richard was home all weekend sick, he goes back to work tonight, they are sending him to Reno. I think Logan got him sick because those two are the only ones who are sick. Alicia is doing great. Elizabeth's Asthma is doing alot better we go and see her Asthma Doctor in 2 weeks for a check up.
I am doing good not much going on this week except for Logan's Cardiologist Appt. Friday.
I have been doing alot of scrap booking this week I am almost done with my book I am working on then I start all over again on another one. I hope everyone has a great week.

Logan can get into a sitting position !!!!!!

Elizabeth on the Scooter Board Race

Alicia in the Sponge relay race

Alicia jumping in there air they won this activity

Alicia and there friend Jessica and Elizabeth
Showing off there Ribbons

OMG! I have the best news ever. Logan can now get in a sitting position from laying down all by himself. YEAH FOR LOGAN. He just did it 5 minutes ago. I just got done feeding him his Formula through his G-tube and he threw up. So I took him up stairs to change him and I put him in his crib for bed and all of a sudden he just sits up all by himself. Then he lays himself down and then sits up again, he does this over and over. I was crying I was so excited this is so huge for him.
On another note I was able to go to Field day today for the girls they did so good. Elizabeth's Team came in First place, Alicia's Team came in Fifth place. They got ribbons. There were 7 different events. I was so happy I was able to be there for them.
Logan's nose is still running like crazy and he is congested. I have not taken him to the Doctor yet because he only coughs a little bit and it did not get any worse. I will just have to wait and see what happens.
The Girls are doing much better Elizabeth still has a cough but her breathing treatments seem to be helping her. Alicia is not coughing any more the Allergy medicine is helping her.
Thanks for checking in on us. Have a great weekend I know I will :)

What a day today was. Last night Logan started to get a runny nose and congestion he kept me up until 12:30am just crying I felt so bad I could not do anything for him. This morning Logan had his Speech Therapy (Mark & Amy) came over, Amy wrought for his I.E.P. to add Language. One of the things Mark wants me to do his read him a book which I and the Girls already do, but put Logan's hand on the page and have me name the item he is touching. Right now if Logan wants something all he does is reach not point to it put reach for it. I am trying to get him to copy what I say easy words but he just looks at me like I am crazy. Mark will come back out in a month to see how his Progress is. Next we headed off to my Doctors appt for my test results. My Cholesterol is a little high and Sugar is also a little high but he is not worried about it all. My Vitamin D is low so he wants me to sit in the Sun for 15 min. a day instead of taking anything for it. My Sleep study test came back really bad. It shows I stop breathing to many times and wants me to go back and do a C-Pap overnight sleep study which I will probably will cancel. I do not want to sleep with a mask on my face at night the nasal cannula is bad enough. Other than that everything is very good.
Next we are off to the Cardiologist to get his RSV shot. He just loved that......
Believe it or not I think Logan might be getting RSV again. He is starting to develop a small cough if it gets any worse I will be taking him into the Pediatrician in the morning.
The Girls have Field day tomorrow from 1:15 to 3:15 and I really wanted to go, Logan's Respite nurse will be coming over tomorrow at 1:00 to watch him. But if I end up taking him to the Doctors and he has RSV I will not be going.
The Girls are having a hard time with there Allergies and Elizabeth with her Asthma, it is so dang windy here. Elizabeth has been doing breathing treatments and it seems like it is doing nothing for her.
Richard is doing good He worked this past Saturday for extra money but then Monday there was no work, you just can't win.
I am doing good as long as I am on drugs my mouth is fine :) I cannot stand being in pain can you tell....

Thanks for checking in on us.

Just a quick update, I am in so much pain with my mouth. I spent 4 hours at the Dentist office again today. They finished up my Root Canal I go back in 3 weeks for my crown.
Logan had Therapy this morning both his O.T and P.T came over is was quite a surprise. Logan did great. I think in another month he will be getting in a sitting position from laying down to sitting up. He has not had his RSV shot yet. They faxed the paper work to late. They called me today and said he can come in and get it in the morning. Thank goodness, This will be his last shot of the season and Because he is turning two he will no longer be able to get them unless his Cardiologist says he needs them. Tomorrow morning Logan has Speech then I go to my Doctors office to get my test results then off to get Logan his RSV shot another busy day tomorrow. I have to get going my mouth is pounding I took a Lortab and it has done nothing so I am going to take some more drugs. Thanks for checking in on us.

What a week. I am glad things are back to normal. As you know the Kids had a great Spring Break it went by so fast. Saturday I went and bought the girls Scooter bikes which they love. We also colored Eggs. Richard worked Saturday, he got home Sunday morning in time to spend Easter with us. We went over my Mom's house for Easter dinner and had the Easter Egg Hunt over there. I guess I better get on it. Hope everyone had a nice Easter with there Family.

Shane and Logan

Waiting to see M&M show in 3-D

Taste testing different cola's

Logan is very worn out

This week has really flew by. Thursday we all went to M&M World and Coca Cola Factory with my Cousin from California. And boy was it crowded everyone was on the strip in Las Vegas. We decided to try the Different Cola's they offer and it was very nasty. There are 15 different flavors throughout the world and they all are gross. My Mom came along with us she was a big help. We all had a really nice time it was very loud and crazy so Logan had a hard time but we managed. My Family went home today back to California it was really nice spending time with my Cousin and there son. Little Shane is such a cutie pie, he is 14 months old and is just learning to walk so he was everywhere. Shane was trying to take Logan's toys away and touching Logan and every once in a while you would see Logan get mad. I will admit I was very jealous to see Shane all over the place and wish Logan was doing the same thing. The Girls just adored Shane and was playing with him they hated to see him go back home.
Today we just went over to Nana's house for a few hours and visited and we all kicked back. This week has been very hectic. I have been getting to bed every night around midnight and getting up at 6:30am. My House is a mess and no Laundry is done, but we all had a great time this week.

Kathys house playing

They did not want to go home but Logan was ready to leave it was past his nap time and he was getting cranky. Then Yesterday afternoon I had my Cousin and her Husband and little boy drive in from California and we went out to Dinner to Olive Garden last night we had a really nice time and visit. We are off to do some more fun stuff today. The Girls Spring Break is just flying on by. At Least they are keeping busy and having a great time off. Post some more fun stuff tomorrow.

I spoiled the girls today. They had a great time. Took them to the Movies to see Monsters vs Aliens, They liked the movie I thought it was OK. Unless your child is around 5 years old I would not bother you would be wasting your time. It is not like the other Disney movies you see where you can take a young Toddler (of course this is my opinion).

After that we headed on over to Burger King for Lunch were they got to play in there Play Yard. Then I treated them to a Hot Fudge Ice Cream Sundae. Went back to my Mom's house to visit a little longer and pick up Logan and got home around 5pm. Logan really enjoyed spending time over at Nana's. Every time we get in the car we are going over Nana's Lately. He is going to start thinking every time we go by by we are going over to Nana's House :)
I got Logan to put some pressure on his feet he did good for about a minute with me holding him up and then he started to flop around like a fish.

Thanks for checking in on us.

Not much went on in this household over the weekend. Friday I did end up spending over 4 hours in the dentist office because I had alot of work to be done. And spent way to much money on my teeth. (thank goodness for the income tax return).
I went back today to finish up my root canal and will have to go back 2 more times next week Yeah for me :(
Saturday I went over my parents house for a few hours we had some family in town and they wanted to see the kids. Sunday we just lounged around and watched movies. It was General Conference but we never go.
Today starts Spring Break for the girls. We were supposed to go to the movies today but because of my Dentist trip we will be going tomorrow to go see Monsters vs Aliens. My Mom will watch Logan while I take the girls. Let me tell you how thankful I am to have my Mom so close to me. She has really done alot for me this past week. I just want you to know Mom how much I appreciate you and Love you to death :) Logan just loves spending time with his Nana that is all he says lately is Nana Nana Nana uh oh uh oh.....
Right now the Girls are our back playing enjoying this great weather while Logan is taking a nap.
Everyone is doing great, I left this week open for the girls so there are no Doctors appt. or Therapy. I told the girls this is there week to go do things. They are very excited about that.

I just put Logan down for a nap so I finally have a minute to update. First off look at my little man he had Therapy this morning and he worked so hard. He did a lot of firsts today. I think it was to show off because Nana was over this morning :)
You can see in the picture above he actually bared weight on his hands to push himself up to see the toy it was for about 30 seconds. Then while also on his tummy his D.S. rolled him to his side and he brought himself back on his back all by himself.
He also said "BB" for Baby and he said "BALL". is this huge or what. I was so thrilled to see how much he is improving compared to six months ago. WOW....
I had my sleep study last night, I felt like I hardly got any sleep at all, I am just exhausted.
I have a funny story.
After I left the sleep study this morning @ 5:30am. I decided to go to Walgreen's to get everything I needed that was on sale with my coupons, I figure why not my Mom is at my house with the kids sleeping. I get home 6am sit down on the couch and I look down and realize I am wearing two different kind of sandals but they are both Black. I am thinking to myself the Tech who put all of these probes all over my body saw that I was wearing two different kind of shoes and must thought I was absolutely crazy. I told my Mom and we were laughing so hard we started to cry. I felt really embarrassed but I thank god I will never see him again :)
